This is my first Operation: Love Reunited photoshoot. I have been so excited about this program, have been waiting on this first shoot, and man it was a tough one. As a retired Air Force member, now a dependent wife to an Air Force aircrew member, I feel honored to be able to give back, and pay forward. What I took away with me, is these are in the last hours of a families time together prior to their loved one being deployed. I was given the honor to invade their space, capture moments they will forever remember. I really tried not to cry, I told myself at the beginning I wouldn't, I needed to hold back for the good of the family. So, I turned around when I felt emotional ... it was tough at the end, to finally see this strong woman cry.
What an incredible honor to be able to give back to the men, women and families of those protecting our freedom. Thank you Brian & Jackie for allowing me to capture this very precious time in your life.
